What is Fossil Shell Flour?

Fossil Shell Flour, also called diatomaceous earth, is a fine powder formed from the fossilised remains of microscopic aquatic organisms called diatoms. It consists mainly of silica.

Is Fossil Shell Flour the same as other diatomaceous earth products?

Diatomaceous earth products are sold for different purposes and are not interchangeable. Pool-filter, garden and industrial products must not be substituted for products intended for other uses.
